Pale gold colour. Interesting fruit. Fine perlage. Fresh and clean. Enduring bubbles. Very drinkable. Well-made, attractive and inexpensive. Made from organically grown grapes. This is a very interesting wine made from two thirds Durella and one third Manzoni-cross. Durella grape is an autothonous vine from the Veneto region, grown between the provinces of Vicenza and Verona. The soils in this region give the grapes their exceptional acidity which lends itself to the production of spumante. The Manzoni-cross is a cross between Rhine Riesling and Pinot Blanc giving some herbaceous notes, and was obtained by Prof. Manzoni in Conegliano (TV) in the 1920s. Bottled: 18/6/2009.
