As with other samples the nose is rather étouffée. On the palate the fine tannins blanket the mouth creating a flat landscape where little topographical distinction can be made. Finish is inescapably long given the vintage and it ends on a soft shuffle. A 2nd sample at the Bibendum tasting in May confirmed the tannins but it remains over-extracted. Good fruit but it's not showing too well at this time.
