Expressive perfumed nose. Noticeably fresh tasting with good backbone and acidity. Some slight spice on the palate. It's clear that there was some restraint in the tannic extraction. Some variability in the samples tasted and a second sample was even better. A major period of reconstruction and focus on quality has been embarked upon by the new owners which is already beginning to show in the results of the last few years helped along by the good vintages.
