14ct gold colour - almost a brass colour which is unsual and rather beautiful. Honey and toasty notes. On the palate honey, almonds and gooseberries - very much the character of the grapes. Fruity if a little hollow in the middle palate. Perceptible acidity. 100% Durella. Aged for 36 months on the lees. The bottle was somewhat disadvantaged by having just been disgorged. Bottled: 31/5/07. Disg'd: 15/6/11
