Very deep but bright colour. Spicey, even heady nose. Loads of dark berry flavours - black cherries, black currants, blueberries and blackberries. Very fine and elegant. What is very notable about Valandraud is that the flavours are not pushed. A very big wine, dry, with discernable acidity but the wine is the epitomy of balance and complexity.
