Pale butter colour. Citrus flowers on the nose. Exceptionally smooth with a fine perlage. Uncommonly elegant even for a Champagne and has a finely poised balance where the forces on its components hold the wine together at their tensile strength - not so much a house of cards as a cable-stayed bridge. Ultimately terribly morish, the wine glides across the palate. The epitomy of great terroir and delicate winemaking.
Old vines of Chardonnay (40-90 years old) mostly Grand Cru.
