The esteemed wine publication La Revue du Vin de France has just published 'Les Meilleurs Vins à Petits Prix' in a special edition to mark its 10th anniversary. The wine selections have been completely updated. Apart from the listings of some 1,500 wines available in France from 3€ to 17€ the book includes the following chapters:

• 30 practical suggestions for buying, conserving and storing wines.
• A selection of wines from overseas
• A separate listing of biological and biodynamic wines
• Special recognition to 70 new talented wine makers

Of 200 wines tasted from outside of France, 39 coming from 15 countries were selected as demonstrating special value. These include wines from Julien Schaal (South Africa), Luis Agostino Cetto (Mexico), Errazuriz (Chile), Le Clos Ouvert (Chile) and Ricard Sanz (Spain).

Among the talents singled out for recognition there are wines, for example, which cost less than 4€ - Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu Clos de la Butte (Eric Chevalier) 3.7€ and many costing 4€ - 5€.

An indispensable guide to those hopping across the Channel or holidaying in France.
