Cos d’Estournel 2011

Dark garnet colour. Briar nose mixed with tobacco. Long racy tannins which may struggle a little to soften. But as always the team at Cos have produced one of the best wines in this difficult vintage. This was the most precocious harvest at Cos since 1893. However, the yield of 36hl/ha was greater than in 2009. The grand vin represents 30% of total production. The blend this year is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
